Finished paper as the name implies, is fully cured or “finished” before being applied to the board.
This means that a number of resins may be used for the impregnation process, including both melamine & urea resins, depending on the wear resistance and flexibility required. (Some papers are capable of being formed around a 1mm radius!)
After impregnation the resins are completely cured and lacquers and other wear resistant coatings are applied. The laminate is then bonded to the substrate with either PVAC, EVA or UF glues in a continuous rolling press.
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF FINISHED PAPER LAMINATES?
ENVIRONMENTALY RESONSIBLE – Paper laminates contain no PVCs, toxic metals or other environmental contaminants.
SUSTAINABLE – Our paper laminates are produced entirely from wood fiber, sourced from certified, sustainably managed forests.
STABLE – Paneltec laminates use advanced micro pore technology virtually eliminating cupping or warping effects even in single sided panels. Great savings for manufacturers!
COST EFFECTIVE – Our pricing speaks for itself, resin impregnated paper laminates are the most cost effective coatings for wood based panel products.
FINISHED TO SUIT YOUR APPLICATION – Because finished papers have lacquers and wear resistant coatings applied during production they can be tailored to suit the final application. Whether you need a natural lacquer feel for a furniture product, an ultra tough surface for a commercial or industrial application, or a low cost panel for a storage solution, there is a paper to do the job.
